The Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence (LKY-ARE)
The LKY-ARE Award is a national level award for achievement in education that was presented since 2005. It recognises well-rounded students who have excelled in both academic and non-academic spheres, and who exemplify the qualities articulated in our desired outcomes of education.
The Lee Kuan Yew Award for Outstanding Normal Course Students (LKY-ONC Award)
The LKY-ONC Award was presented for the first time in 2004. The Awards are presented to top Normal (Academic) course students and top Normal (Technical) students, based on their GCE ‘O’ Level and ‘N’ level examination results respectively.
The Prime Minister’s Book Prize
The Prime Minister’s Book Prize is presented to promote effective bilingualism in schools.

2019 Prime Minister’s Book Prize
Congratulations to Yu Hao Lin (Sec 4A1, 2018) who was awarded the prestigious 2019 Prime Minister’s Book Prize!
As a student in class, Hao Lin was able to think critically. She enjoyed problem solving and contributed actively to class discussions. She was confident in putting forth her views and thoughts clearly. Hao Lin was an enthusiastic member of the English Debate Club. Hao Lin role modelled to the members a strong fighting spirit and the tenacity to take up tough challenges. As a leader, she took the initiative to build the unity of the members and worked with the teachers to resolve the concerns and issues of
the team.
Besides her CCA, she was also involved in raising funds for the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Hao Lin displayed a passion for life and learning. She participated actively as part of the team and won the 3rd Team Placing in the Create Your Own Newspaper Competition and 1st prize in the PL Chinese Song Singing Competition. She also took part in the National Secondary School Chinese Creative Writing Competition. Her teachers found her to be a respectful student. Hao Lin was goal-oriented and she was able to push herself and to persevere in the tasks that were set before her. She was willing to put in all the hard work required and was not afraid to take on challenges.
2018 Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence
Congratulations to Ling Yin (Sec 4A1, 2017) who was awarded the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence 2018!
Ling Yin has a thirst for learning beyond her academic subjects and seeks opportunities to learn new things. She is very motivated and always strived to achieve the best in all that she did. She has a keen interest in learning and has received numerous academic awards. She joined the Robotics team in school and demonstrated the ability to acquire new information, critically evaluate it and put it to effective use.
As Vice-Head Prefect from 2016 to 2017, Ling Yin served with zeal, passion and commitment and inspired others to do the same. She was a responsible and resilient leader and was someone whom her juniors and peers looked up to. A steadfast leader and quick thinker, she was able to come up with creative ways of doing things and led her team to achieve more, pushing boundaries to achieve their potential. Her sincerity, thoughtfulness and respect for others helped her establish strong relationships with them.
2017 Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence
We are very proud of Hannah Quek Sihui (Sec 4A1, 2016) who was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence in 2017!
Hannah was a keen learner and role model for her peers. She had a clear sense of purpose in all that she did and was an inspiration to her peers. She received numerous academic awards and was also an eloquent and outstanding debator, and was selected to lead the team in the Raffles Model United Nations Conference (RMUN) in 2015.
As Head Prefect from 2015 to 2016, Hannah demonstrated excellence in her leadership. She was a thoughtful and mature leader who was very dedicated in her service to the school and demonstrated leadership attributes of dedication, resilience, analytical thinking and problem-solving. She was a servant leader with a compassionate heart and sought always to give her best. She touched many through her kind acts and mentorship.

2016 Lee Kuan Yew Award for Outstanding Normal Course
We are very proud of Saraniya d/o Panichelvam (Sec 4D1, 2015) who was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Award for Outstanding Normal Course.
Saraniya was an enthusiastic and proactive learner and always did her best to improve herself further. As a class leader, she was able to solve problems with her classmates in a sensitive, diplomatic and patient manner.
She was also an unassuming and down-to-earth student who showed great humility. As a member of the Media and Information Technology Club, she worked quietly and steadily in the background to support many of the school events. Saraniya was an active participant in various Values in Action Progammes. Her caring nature towards others was shown in her involvement in various Service Learning projects and projects like the I Love Nature project by National Parks and the I Love Environment project at Pulau Ubin.
