Methodist Schools’ Long Service Awards Ceremony
On 30 August, Mrs Choo Vee Vee, Lab TSO received the long service award for her fifty years of dedicated service in the Methodist education in our school – PLMGS.
ICode 2019
On 28 August, PL shined at the ICode 2019. This year’s theme was “I Code To Contribute’ where young aspiring developers learnt to use Application Inventor to create cool mobile apps to tackle community concerns such as ageing population, cybersecurity, financial literacy and multiculturalism. We are so thrilled to have 2 teams of PL Lites winning: (a) 2nd Place (Team 2: Mama Shop Travels) and (b) Best Poster Design (Team 1: Bean There, Saved That) in this competition.

Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors Award (YIA) 2019 Award
On 24 August, our Sec 3 students Breann, Amirah and Jiayi attained the Merit award for their innovations at the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors Award (YIA) 2019 Award Ceremony.

Mother Tongue Languages Symposium 2019
On 24 August, PL shined as our student ambassadors attended the Mother Tongue Languages Symposium 2019 at Suntec City. The Mother Tongue Languages Symposium (MTLS) is an annual event jointly organised by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) and the Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee (TLLPC).
National Secondary School Chinese Creative Writing Competition
On 17 August, PL shined as Yunyi (Secondary 3) won the 1st prize in the 2019 National Secondary School Chinese Creative Writing Competition. Well done!
National Day Celebrations 2019
On 8 August, PL came together as a family to celebrate our Nation’s 54rd year of independence. We would like to thank Mr Jason Wong, Chairman of the Board of Focus of the Family Singapore, for blessing PL with an inspiring message of hope and your presence at our 2019 PLMGS National Day Celebrations.
East Zone A*Star Science Fair Competition
On 2 August, 14 Secondary 2 ACE Science girls who participated in the East Zone A*Star Science Fair Competition. They presented 4 research projects confidently in front of A*Star research scientists and one team received the Silver Award in the Lower Sec category. Well done girls!
